About the role
Let’s start with the basics: what will your role actually involve? While it’s tough to detail every single aspect – particularly in a growing company like Bookboost, here’s a snapshot:
As the People Operations Specialist, you will play a key role in executing people related activity at Bookboost.
You will be responsible for the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to employee engagement. You’ll also be working hands-on on adhoc projects, e.g. compliance, policies, and employee relations.
What you’ll own and deliver:
- Lead and manage the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring we attract and hire top talent.
- Own the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, probation, performance management, and off boarding.
- Maintain and update employee guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure legal compliance and alignment with company culture.
- Drive initiatives to foster a strong company culture, ensuring (remote) engagement and alignment across the team.
- Enhance HRIS utilization (Personio): drive the adoption and optimization of our HRIS, integrating additional functionalities to streamline HR processes and improve efficiency.
- Manage all employee documentation, including contracts, amendments, and compliance-related materials.
- Maintain accurate absence records and documentation.
- Listen to employee feedback and suggest improvements to policies, culture, and processes.
- Handle ad-hoc projects and tasks and support general organizational needs as required.
- Take on additional HR and organizational transformation projects to support Bookboost’s growth and evolution.
What makes you a great fit?
- You are a hands-on and structured professional who enjoys being involved with our team company culture
- HR Experience: At least 3 years of experience in an HR generalist or People & Culture role, ideally within a fast-growing or remote-first company.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, People Management, or a related field is a plus but not mandatory. Relevant experience and a strong track record in HR are equally valued.
- Recruitment Expertise: Strong experience managing the full recruitment lifecycle and attracting top talent.
- Employee Lifecycle Management: Understanding of HR processes, policies, and best practices related to onboarding, performance management, and employee engagement.
- Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with employment laws, contracts, and HR compliance requirements.
- People-Centric Approach: A proactive and empathetic mindset, with a passion for creating a great employee experience.
- Organizational Agility: Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Strong Communication Skills & Culture Awareness: Ability to clearly communicate policies, processes, and feedback to employees and managers, while being an active listener, empathetic, and fostering a positive and inclusive company culture
